APW - Elgin, Convertible model, Grade 50, 15J, 16S, heavy 18K rose gold drum style Ulysse Nardin Locle OF case with very attractive and unusual deep scalloped fluting to bezel, band, and rear perimeter, gold drum style cuvette likewise with deep scalloped fluting detail to its perimeter, Jürgensen-style lips, white enamel SS dial, SW-LS, nickel damascene, s#1683577. Gross weight of assembled watch 75.9 dwt (118.2 g). A spectacular heavy case with a very striking and unusual in-hand appearance.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, fine-plus cosmetic mvt condition overall, plates with some scattered mild surface spots and some scattered micro-fine scratches; dial with cluster of hls between 3 and 5, few additional light hls elsewhere, edge flake near 1; excellent hands of mismatched color, hour and minute are blue, seconds-hand is plum colored; case shows little wear, prominent small ding to lower-left perimeter of rear; tight bow, crown shows light wear; good glass crystal.
